1. What is a Free Domain in your package? All you have to do is sign up with our package and not only will you enjoy a great hosting rate, we will even pay for your new domain name. And as long as you are our customer, we will continue to renew your domain name, every year! The free domain names are .com / .net and .org. 2. Why not .sg? .sg domain names are handled by SGNIC. They would require registered business details to authorise such a domain name. It will be too troublesome for us to act as the middle-man and register on your behalf. You can visit SGNIC for more information. 3. What if I have already registered my domain with another registrar? We will transfer it to our own registrars for US$10. However, if your current registrar does not allow us to "take over" your domain, we will refund you US$8. We can transfer all national and international domain names. However, the $100 will not be reduced just because you do not receive the free domain entitlement. 4. What if I just want to host my website with you but not want the Free domain? Same as Question 3. But you are responsible for renewing the domain registration with your own registrar. You will also not be allowed to "claim" the free domain at a later date. This is because we route our signup forms to a bulk order arrangement with our registrars and singular domain signups are differently priced. 5. Do I have access to my Free Domain Control Panel? No. 6. Can I have full control of my Free Domain / can I enter my own details in the Registrant Whois details? Yes. If you want to have control of your domain / or if you want to enter use own details, we will need to transfer the domain to your own control, out of our account. Some web hosting companies practice the unfair method of tying you down and forcing you to use their hosting service once they register the domain for you. We do not. There is a surcharge SG$15 for the transfer of the Domain to you. This can only be done 45 days after your domain was first registered (in accordance to Internic restrictions). When that happens, you will cease to receive the free renewal service, the next time you renew your account. You will be responsible for renewing the domain registration with your own registrar. 7. Why must I pay for the surcharge? Due to the fact that it is a free domain paid for by us. In addition, we will incur a fee for the transfer of domain name ownership. This surcharge is to cover our expenses and paperwork. 8. My Domain Name has expired and I am not renewing with 100for100. How can I gain control of my Domain Name? You can let the domain name expire and be released into public domain access. This takes around 3 months, depending on the domain name registrar. If it is already in redemption mode, you can also get us to apply for a restoration of domain name. There is a surcharge of US$60-300 for this as we will need to bear the administrative costs by the registrar. The registrar will then revert the costs of restoration of the domain name and we will bill you accordingly. After 60 days, you can apply for a domain name transfer using your own preferred registrar. This is a standard rule set by registrars. 9. Why do you need to transfer ownership for me to have full control of my free domain name? All our domain names are registered under 1 master account. This allow us to receive a bulk-domain-name pricing discount by the Domain Name Registrar. To transfer your domain name out, we have to create a new user account and password for the domain manager.
